SEO practitioner Brodie Clark posted on X that ChatGPT is testing a new "Learn more" link, featuring a dotted underline and an upward arrow, inside text-based ads, Search Engine Roundtable reported on October 26. Clark wrote that "ChatGPT is now experimenting with a new ad format that features a learn more link with an arrow within text-based ads," noting the link doesn't appear on every ad.
Around the same time, ad-tech analyst Juozas Kaziukėnas revealed on LinkedIn that some ChatGPT ads have click-tracking URLs that pass through Amazon's own tracking server. He speculated that rather than Amazon running its own ad format inside ChatGPT, advertisers may now be able to buy ChatGPT ad placements through Amazon's DSP.
Kaziukėnas said there's "barely any detail" publicly available on how the integration works, and that he hasn't yet seen other advertisers using this approach. He was careful to note that whether feed-based ads are involved, or whether Amazon's DSP handles targeting, remains his own guesswork.
Neither OpenAI nor Amazon has issued an official statement on the matter. Search Engine Roundtable noted the change still appears to be in a testing phase, observed on only some ads so far.

If you're running ChatGPT ad campaigns, it's worth watching for this new link format to appear in your own ad units. If the Amazon DSP purchase path does open up, businesses that already run Amazon ad accounts may see their ChatGPT ad buying process change, so it's worth keeping an eye on official updates.
