About GEO Times

GEO Times is a specialist publication that measures and records generative AI search results. We put the same question repeatedly to major AI services, including ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and Claude, and look at which companies and brands appear and which sources the answers cite.

Results are recorded by date, question and the AI engine used. Rather than ranking on a single snapshot, we focus on the changes and tendencies that show up when the same question is repeated.

What we cover

GEO Times covers generative AI search and GEO (Generative Engine Optimization), reporting domestic and international news alongside our own measurements.

AI search measurements We choose questions real users are likely to ask and measure them repeatedly across several AI engines. We check which companies and brands appeared in the answers and which websites and materials were cited, and record them with the time of measurement.

International developments We cover AI search announcements from Google, OpenAI, Perplexity and other major companies, as well as overseas research. Sources are provided so readers can check the originals.

Vendor and service comparisons We compare vendors using our own measurements together with the services, cases and materials each company has published. Rather than presenting a ranking alone, we state the criteria used.

Why we measure ourselves

Generative AI answers are not fixed. The same question can bring different recommendations on ChatGPT and Gemini, and even on the same service the companies and cited sources change depending on when you measure.

Meanwhile, most performance data published in the Korean GEO market consists of cases and figures reported by individual vendors themselves. Data from repeated measurements of several AI engines under the same conditions is still scarce.

GEO Times accumulates results we verified ourselves, with dates and conditions stated. We do not judge performance on a single answer; articles are based on what repeated measurements show.

Article standards

Articles are classified by type: international developments, measured, comparison, guide, experiment and opinion.

Measured articles state the date, the AI engines used, the question and the number of runs. Articles covering external announcements or research cite the original source.

If AI answers change after a measurement, the original record stays as it was. Later results are kept as separate measurement records so changes over time remain visible.

GEO Times articles are written by the editorial team.

We accept questions about articles, correction requests, and suggestions for questions to measure in AI search. If a correction is needed, we verify it and mark the article with what changed and when.
